Outline
As of 17:00, January 30, 2026, EA Pharma’s system will automatically delete emails containing password-protected files (delete both main texts and attached files) addressed to EA Pharma’s employees (hereinafter the “ EA Pharma Employees”), and the sender will receive a notification of delivery failure via email. In this case, no notification will be sent to the recipient (EA Pharma Employees).
For details of file transfer methods following the abolishment, please inquire with your point of contact at EA Pharma.
Emails containing files without password protection will be delivered the same as before.

Background
PPAP is the method to send password-protected files and corresponding passwords separately via email. In recent years, however, high risk of malware infection by the use of PPAP has been pointed out, as it can easily bypass the security checks. An increasing number of government agencies and many private companies have opted to discontinue this practice, Against this background, EA Pharma has decided to abolish the use of the PPAP method as part of its efforts to enhance information security, following the policy of Eisai Co., Ltd. of the Eisai Group.

EA Pharma would appreciate your understanding and cooperation with the efforts to enhance information security.
